I love trying new things, and am open to doing a wide range of activities. I have some experience with DIY and gardening but would like to learn more through a workaway. I love arts and crafts, and have recently started doing ceramics in my spare time. I enjoy cooking vegetarian food and eating communally, so would be happy to cook in the evenings. I wouldn't mind cooking with meat if host families prefer it.

I'm currently working as a researcher in the third sector, but have lots of experience doing communications work for small businesses, so this could also be something I can help with.

I have 5+ years customer service experience, working part-time in bars, cafes and restaurants.

I have no formal childcare qualifications, but I get on well with kids and have spent most of my adolescence helping childmind. I enjoy crafts activities and going to museums, and often take young family members.

I would like to improve my Spanish, and am looking for an opportunity for language exchange. I have some experience teaching english as a second language to migrants settling in Scotland.

Niamh was a great help during her month at the hostel. She worked mainly on bar and event and handled her responsibilities well aswell as getting involved when we needed an extra pair of hands. We stayed with Rosie for 2 weeks and had the best time of our trip. Rosie had set jobs that she needed help with meaning we always knew what we were doing- this was chopping wood for winter and harvesting apples and potatoes. Niamh and Callum were most helpful doing autumn jobs around the small holding. They dug up potatoes, piled wood and picked a big harvest of apples for juice making and other little jobs. They worked hard and were always willing to try new jobs and there was a pleasant interchange around the meal table. Thank you for helping out!
