Description
Hello! :)
We are Neda and Toma, two 20-year-old friends from Lithuania. We are both currently second-year students at Vilnius University – Neda studies Information Systems Engineering and Toma studies Marketing. We joined Workaway because we want to travel in a more local way, get to know cultures from the inside, and discover places beyond typical tourism.
We both seek to explore and experience as much of the world as possible. We enjoy the thrill of adrenaline and stepping outside our comfort zones, but we also appreciate quiet moments to relax and recharge.
Both of us have always been very active – we spent many years doing orienteering and swimming. Because of that, we are very comfortable spending time outdoors and working physically in different weather conditions. Forests, mountains, and the ocean are all places where we feel happiest. We also love cycling and are excited to try things like surfing or snowboarding in the future.
We are hands-on, positive people who are not afraid of physical work or getting a little dirty. We’re always happy to help – whether it’s with animals, gardening, cooking, cleaning, marketing, or simply bringing good energy into the space. :)

As orienteers, we have helped organize numerous events, including the Orienteering World Cup in Estonia and the European MTBO Championship in Lithuania. During these events, we have taken part in setup work, logistics support, food preparation, maintaining order, supervising children, communicating with people, and dealing with all kinds of unexpected tasks outdoors in different weather conditions. Volunteering has allowed us to meet new people, strengthen our teamwork and communication skills, and learn from new experiences.

What else ...
We are friendly and sociable people who love meeting new people and building connections all over the world. At the same time, having some free and independent time is always a nice bonus for us.
That being said, we are already used to living in dorms at university and sharing space with many people during orienteering trips, so sharing a room doesn’t bother us at all! :)
