Description

Hi, I'm Cian.

I'm from Southeast Ireland, where I grew up in a small coastal village which has strongly influenced my personality. I am a self driven, ambitious person who has a strong aspiration to do good in this world and to help others in various ways. I love to talk to different people and hear their stories and way of being and deeply connect with them.

I enjoy appreciating nature, hiking the surrounding land, exploring different areas, building, making art, cooking, mindfulness, movies, surfing and other little things.

I have a degree in Psychology and Music Technology, but currently work with an outdoor landscape theatre group, creating magical shows outdoors that connects us to our inner freedom and soul. My passion is music, particularly Irish traditional music, and it's the one area in my life that I feel most myself and can truly express who I am. Music has also given me the opportunity to experience special moments with special people in unique situations that I never would have imagined experiencing without music.

I have had years of experience in building with recycled materials in small local projects around my hometown and building sites, this was then solidified through my volunteering experience in Holland where i was given the responsibility of helping out the community in this way, from building compost toilets to the foundations of a house, to gardening spaces, to fences, but all with an artistic touch. I take great pride in the detail i give to my physical work.
I have good experience in gardening as i grew up on a family farm and am well equipped in the lengthy process of producing good food.
Through music i have also learnt a lot. I am a professional musician at the moment and have learnt through my travels how to connect and speak to people from all different backgrounds. I have also been teaching since i was 12 years old so am well experienced in communicating to people who want to learn.
I have some experience within the art scene as i make my own art with recycled material that i find on the beach. I like to portray the rubbish that is dumped into our oceans and turn it into beautiful pieces that can be displayed.

What else ...

I love playing cards. Growing up in Ireland has taught me to bring a pack of cards everywhere I go and many games to fit any social situation. I also love jamming with other musicians around a cup of tea or a campfire. Life is too short to let the special moments pass by.
