Description

You can call me Kiam, from the Philippines. I'm just a simple wonderer wandering about. I'm curious about all that there is to learn, and I'm simply hoping to collect stories from places, people, things, and experiences. I'm not much of a planner and my future is another blank page where I'm open to the possibilities of being able to write poems, stories, songs; make origamis; draw, paint, create a paper mache, crumpled art; cut shapes; or maybe create something entirely new with it.

I don't have a definition for happiness nor do I know how it's actually supposed to feel like. But I think having a relaxing day at the park, staring at the skies while the clouds pass by and birds fly around, looking at the dancing leaves in the breeze, observing bees, butterflies, chanchito de tierras, dogs, cats, people go around, feeling raindrops on my face, laughing with friends and families, singing while driving around, reading a good book, sipping yuzu on a cold day, eating sinigang with my flatmates on a rainy day, lying of the grass and bathing in the sun, playing with kids and interacting with the elderly, karaokeing with friends, listening to someone talk about their experiences... These are just some that I would count as happiness.

I worked as a nurse in the Philippines, as a caregiver in Japan, as a Japanese/Bilingual project coordinator in the Philippines, an English teacher in Chile, and just trying out and experiencing different stuff.

I'm trying to travel around simply to find out more about me and life. I just hope to learn more, laugh more, live more, and love life even more.

I consider myself as a student, so I'm open to learning more. But I do have a 3 year experience as a nurse in the Philippines, and 5 year experience as a caregiver in Japan... So I think I have some knowledge gained regarding first aid, medications, caring for people, communication, team work, and patience. I also have experience in being an English teacher... I'm able to share some knowledge about language and culture. I also worked as a customer service provider and a Japanese language based project coordinator... So, I have an experience in customer service, coordination and management. I also took care of my siblings and niece, as well as being called to be a play date of my friends' kids... So, I think I'm good with kids and have an experience with dealing with chilldren with more focused needs. I am also, though not adept, can do cleaning, cooking, and any housework. I speak Tagalog, also English, as my native language, Japanese in a daily conversational level, Spanish in a beginner level, and also learning American Sign Language as of the moment.

What else ...

I'm a little bit curious about a lot of stuff, I don't necessarily know much but I find it fascinating when I learn, see, experience something new. Aside from my hobbies (meditation, yoga, relaxing at the park or forest, walking, listening to music, reading, writing, watching movies and series), I really enjoy getting to know people and learning their stories. I guess I just hope to learn all that is to discover and explore.
