I'm a bush pilot who is currently out of work, and looking to develop some new skillsets and meet some wonderful fellow countrymen along the way. I enjoy landscaping and gardening, and would love to get stuck in and help someone achieve their dream of transforming their property into a living creation. What I lack in knowledge I make up for in enthusiasm and can-do attitude.
I also have a knowledge of most regular tools and am able to do basic DIY. Happy to lend a hand swinging a hammer or painting a fence etc where needed.
If there is anyone out there who is keen to pass on their woodturning skills, I am keen to learn. :)
- We had a large vegetable garden growing up, so I learned how to grow veges from an early age.
- For the past four years (been back in NZ since Jan) I have been living in the remote Northern Territory, Australia with very poor soil. It took three years, but I finally managed to create some good soil and turn the red-dirt yard into a reasonable garden. I learned a lot along the way and am discovering there is always something more to learn with gardening and land management.
- I am an honest and hard worker, and like to do an excellent job. I am not keen on a half-hearted effort at something.
