Description

Hi there we are Maya and Alex :)

For as long as we can both remember it has been a shared desire to adventure across the world and experience other cultures. It's something that individually we both strive for in life.
We both have a want for knowledge and experience, and are willing to get our hands dirty and put in hard work to help. Learning new languages is also something that we desire to do when travelling and we would be happy to partake in a language exchange.

We are currently seeking paid and unpaid positions in Japan for September 2024!!!

Maya

After finishing my bachelor's degree in Interior Design last summer, I have been working at a bar in Manchester city centre and also recently I have taken on a job at a retail store in the Trafford Centre in order to save up for our trip.
Even though having two jobs leaves me with little free time at the moment, I still get time to be creative and sometimes produce multimedia artwork. I actually have an upcoming exhibition on May 20th-21st, exhibiting some of my most recent paintings.

Though art isn't the only thing I indulge in, both Alex and I have a shared love of music and would like to one day produce music together, inspired by the places we have been and the people we have met.

I've been told I'm very friendly and easy to get on with. Hard work isn't something I'm shy of and I'm willing to try things and want to learn new skills!

Alex

I started bar work after studying media in college and have stayed in hospitality since, now working at a bar/club in Manchester city centre.
Working in bars and shops has taught me that I don't want to stay still any longer. I want to keep moving and experience more of life, meeting Maya also sparked my urge to explore :)

That said, I don't mind any work to do and always want to learn new things like Handywork, Gardening, Conservation and pretty much anything!
Both of us have many years of experience working in hospitality, and one day aspire to be Jacks'/Jane's of all trades.
