Hello there!

We are Matthias and Sabrina, a couple in our best years (42 & 35). Our passion for travel, discovering diverse cultures, savoring different cuisines, and experiencing life in various corners of the globe has been a central theme in our lives.

One important thing to know about us: we have a shared curiosity that knows no bounds. We are constantly seeking to understand and appreciate the beauty and complexity of people and places. Travel, for us, is not just about visiting famous landmarks or ticking off destinations on a checklist. It's about really catching the atmosphere of a place by learning from its people and understanding their unique perspectives on life.

We are deeply interested in different ways of life. We believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to living, and there is so much to learn from any other person and community that we encounter in our lives and on our travels. Respect and a commitment to being helpful to our social environment are moreover really important to us. Every experience for us is a chance to learn, and every act of kindness can make the world a better place :)

Matthias is a car-body painter with over 15 years of experience in the field. He does not only master the craft but also managed his own family business. However, his passion for helping others led him to a career change as a social worker five years ago. In this role, he recently also got involved into apartment renovations, including tasks like clearing out, disassembling and assembling kitchens, painting, and so on. Matthias is the go-to person among our friends when it comes to moving or construction work. His strength, and can-do attitude ensure that any project is completed with precision and care.

With over 20 years of experience as a gymnastics coach, Sabrina was able to improve her communication and teaching abilities with every new kid in her group. Her freelance work as a translator and language teacher further shows her dedication to learning and sharing knowledge. However, she is not just limited to the world of words, but also has a knack for assembling furniture, particularly the infamous IKEA pieces. She's also unafraid to wield a hammer, drilling machine, or other tools when necessary.

In addition to our individual skills, we both have a solid foundation in gardening, including lawn mowing and hedge trimming. Our kitchen has recently become a little jungle, as Sabrina has found out about here green thumb ;) As our apartment is too small for any pets, our time with animals is mostly limited to the time we spent with our friends and family that live in the countryside. Also, we love to fool around with kids and are aunt and uncle to a lot of our friends' offspring. In the last couple of years, we've furthermore completed numerous DIY projects together and have lent a hand on construction sites, assisting friends and family in building their homes.

Whatever work has to be done, we are ready to roll up our sleeves and help wherever help is needed. Our teamwork and ability to collaborate effectively therefore make us a dynamic duo in any setting :)

What else ...

In our free time, we are passionate about complex board games that challenge our intellect and strategy. Sabrina also enjoys creating artworks that demand a lot of patience, while Matthias finds relaxation in the pages of a good book.

We've recently embraced AcroYoga, strengthening both our bodies and our connection as a couple. When not doing sports together, Matthias finds joy in team ball games, and Sabrina in dancing and acrobatics. We've also embarked on numerous attempts to master the art of surfing but have never been in a coastal area long enough to consolidate our skills ;)

And not to forget, we have a deep affinity for cooking (and also eating) and enjoy experimenting with new recipes. Especially, Sabrina takes particular delight in baking (and also eating and sharing her creations) :D
