Description

Currently travelling slowly through Malaysia - spending time getting familiar with the country that my mum is from, reconnecting with family and friends.

I've been told that I'm very approachable and I would definitely say that I'm a sociable character, despite more introverted qualities. I can often find common ground/values with a lot of people I meet and I do genuinely get the most out of life by learning from others, culturally or socially, but teaching too. Now I'm also looking for that same joy from learning new skills, processes and ways of life. Languages are on that list too, though small steps will probably lead to bigger rewards for me!

I love animals, I love nature, and working with one or both would be a dream. Ideally I'm looking for something that could last a few weeks if possible - some stability and a bit of focused dedication would be great. I am a traveller but I travel very slowly, enjoying one place for a few weeks to get to know the local energy and way of life.

Professionally speaking my skill set centres on writing, photography, hospitality and barista work. Many years experience in writing and photography related things, about 5-6 years as a professional barista trained in Australia.

If you think I'd be a good fit I would love to hear from you, especially if you have any reservations/concerns as I will always respond with total honesty. Hopefully we can learn from each other, help each other and generally just enjoy life and be happy.

I studied German and Spanish at school so would love to pick that back up again. My mum is also of Chinese descent and I have family in Malaysia so would also love to learn Cantonese.

Miscellaneous - barista work, cooking, bar work, team management, event coordination, festival decor/signage etc.
