Hi!
My name is Marion, I'm a 20 year-old political science student from Belgium. I believe travelling and discovering the world help create a better world, which is why I am so fond of Workaway :) I've done several in the past which helped me learn so much about the world, others and myself.
Being around nature, the ocean, forests, sunsets as well as learning new languages and being around animals and fellow humans: these are some of the things I live for ! I'm always eager to learn and love to contribute to all kinds of projects, though I'm hoping to build one of my own someday!

French is my native language, I went to a Dutch-speaking school, I learned English via reading, lessons and traveling, and I learned Spanish while on an exchange in Colombia. So, I can say I'm fluent and willing to teach those languages :) I am always open to learn new languages ! I find it fun and it's a great way to know more about people, their culture and country.

I speak 4 languages fluently: French, English, Spanish and Dutch. I also have notions of German and Russian.
I have been working around horses for 10 years, so I'm quite decent at handling, riding and caring for them. I love being around animals, and I can say that I have a relatively good contact with them.
I do not know so much about manual jobs, but I am always, always, always willing to learn and help! I have done some painting, gardening, farm work, helped building a house, etc. and I would love to learn to do more :)
I have easy contact with strangers and have worked in a hostel doing the "social part" of the job, which I enjoyed doing.

Some hobbies of mine are horse riding, watercolor painting, reading fiction or poetry, being around nature, ... A dream of mine is to learn how to surf, so that is something I'm looking for while doing Workaway :)

The weeks I spent at Madhura's place were so sweet and filled with joy. Every workday satrted with a yoga lesson and some meditation which did everyone a lot of good. Marion made a positive contribution to our place, she worked hard and gave every task her best, she is thoughtful polite and caring. Marion got on well with everbody, joined in all the activities and was a pleasure to host, we can recomend her to any host.

Marion is a very helpful, intelligent and emphatic young woman who helped us everywhere during the week. She cleaned the stables and inhaled and moved our sick horse. She was an enrichment with her broad interest in all things, and she is also an excellent rider, and we were very pleased that we were able to get to know her.

Ula and Uli are such beautiful, welcoming people! They are full of lovely and interesting conversations, they are so patient when explaining the way the farm works, and so kind to their animals.
