Hey!
My name is Marie, I am 22 years old. After I finished high school for 2 years I traveled a lot. Mostly with Workaway and on farms. The sustainable way to live and the different farms I've been on have inspired me to begin a new phase of my life and in addition to discovering agriculture through practical work I began to study it. It's interesting to see also the theoretical part, but I miss the actual practical work and also traveling in general so much that I spend all the semester "vacation" I have, continuing to make experiences on farms while traveling.
The world is full of so many things to discover. People, cultures... I want to see all of them! And I believe one of the best ways getting to know some of those is working and living with people for a certain period like this website offers it.
My best Workaway experience was on a farm in Northern Italy where learned a lot and ended up staying and coming back for several months.
My next destination is Sicily in March. I would love to learn to work with oranges, also if I know, it might be a little late, but maybe I'm lucky. But in general I'm happy to do every work that is needed! :)

I've been working in a vegetable farm in northern Italy in the mountains for all in all 8 months and have seen all the different seasons there.
I had the opportunity to do seeding, planting, harvesting vegetables and harvesting olives, weeding, making vegetable boxes, dry chili peppers, talking to customers, putting down greenhouses and make them ready for the winter, help preparing fire wood and some other things that just come up during life on a farm.
Of course I'm super motivated to try and learn new things and want to help in every possible way! :)

Additionally I also consider myself as a creative person, I like to write and do layout, do photography, make movies, play music and sing.
And i'm a big fan of languages, i speak German of course, English, French, and Italian. I love to learn new languages and am also happy to teach the ones I know.
In general I love to be around other people and am good ad adapting myself to new environments like for example a family:)
