Description
I grew up in Northern California but have lived in Philadelphia for 7 years. my educational background is in geology/soil science and art therapy, so I like art and rocks and talking to strangers. I'm always trying to do New Things, I'm down for pretty much any random activity or learning a new skill. My core values are accessibility, community, environmental conservation, and natural light. My hobbies include hiking, biking, swimming, and hosting events, and my life motto is "leave it better than you found it".
I'm so excited to meet good people and explore the world :)

More details about your skills
housework- generally enjoy both everyday and deep cleaning. I've lived alone a couple years now and know a lot about organization and maintaining a space. Also do a lot of interior decorating.
cooking and baking - I'm no longer vegetarian but have a lot of recipes from the 6 years that I was, plus I make a mean snickerdoodle
gardening - work experience in a garden center, I've been in the city the past couple years so it's been a bit since I had a garden of my own but I volunteer at a local arboretum and maintain many houseplants in my apartment.
agriculture - 2 years doing agricultural water quality assessments for the US Environmental Protection Agency. Day-to-day this experience was not hands-on farm work, but I am very familiar with farm operations and culture, and am knowledgeable about practices that protect soil health and water quality specifically in agricultural settings.
arts/crafts/tinkering-mostly painting and drawing, home DIY, creative reuse, sewing, some woodworking, mixed media, jewelry crafts, and graphic design.
Other work experience includes a hotel front desk, group residential caretaking, retail customer service, and computer/legal work within the field of environmental protection.
