Hello! I’m Lou,

I’m a 30-year-old from the UK, and I recently took a career break to explore new cultures, meet people, and pick up new skills along the way. I spent the past eight years working as a video producer in marketing and production, and I’m passionate about creating meaningful stories through media. I’m also experienced in hospitality and retail, so I’m comfortable engaging with people and adapting to busy environments.

Travel and adventure have always been a big part of my life. So far, I’ve had the chance to visit parts of Asia, including Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam, and I’m currently on a working holiday visa in New Zealand. My goal is to keep exploring, contributing wherever I go, and learning from the people I meet.

What I’m looking for:
I’d love to connect with hosts who are passionate about what they do and can use a helping hand with daily tasks. Whether it’s helping around a farm, assisting at a hostel, or even joining in on community projects, I’m excited to get involved.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me exploring creative outlets and spending time in nature. I’m a (beginner) pottery enthusiast and would be really keen to learn some different techniques—there’s something so satisfying about working with clay and creating something from scratch. I’m also an avid traveler, with a deep appreciation for history, art, and cultural sites, so I’m always up for exploring new places, whether it’s a bustling city or a quiet hiking trail.

In my downtime, I enjoy reading and writing! I also love finding a good café, as I’m a bit of a coffee enthusiast, and appreciate the chance to unwind with a great cup of coffee and a nice view.
