Hi, I’m Lily and I’m from the UK – I’m keen to get out and see a bit of the world I’ve never been and live a little while I have the chance! I’ve found myself with a nice chunk of time between graduating university and starting on a graduate scheme with the civil service this Autumn, so I would love to get out and experience a bit of life before I start my career in earnest. I've been given an itch from living abroad in the Netherlands and Hong Kong to go and actually immerse myself in the places I travel to and not just pass through on the surface, which is why a volunteer scheme like workaway seems absolutely golden. I love meeting new people and trying my hand at new things, and am very keen to improve my super basic knowledge of working with wood/tools etc., gardening, and ideally even working with horses again (used to ride as a child but am rusty!!). I'm a big fan of critters and have looked after chickens and ducks before. I volunteer as a motorsport marshal at tracks here in the UK and have an extremely amateur interest in cars, and also love to dabble in making art, yoga, and am going through a real flare for reading currently.

I'm easily entertained and very laid-back about what I get up to, so I'm happy to pick up any and all kinds of tasks and am very excited to see a bit of the other side of the world :)
