¡Hola!

I'm Laura, I'm 32 years old, from England and currently will be travelling solo around Colombia from November.

I am a friendly and outgoing person, I speak good Spanish but am keen to become fluent over the next few months. I love adventurous activities and exploring new places, spending time immersing myself in local culture. At university I studied Biology focussing on conservation and sustainability but I also have experience working in hostels, bars, climbing walls, alongside being qualified secondary geography teacher and mountain leader. I love to surf, climb, slackline, hike and gain new skills - the latest being Bachata. If I can help you out using any of these skills I am more than happy to! :)

Pasé una semana con luz, martin, alef y atzel lo que una gran familia! Aunque se quedaron en otra casa tuvimos algunos buenos momentos jugando con catterpillars, tener barabeques y cocinar durante las clases de español. Me sentí muy bienvenido. Suerte con los estudios de los chicos!!

I stayed with the host for 7 weeks (I was meant to stay for 3!). Due to the large number of volunteers it was like living with a family. The sunset view is beautiful and there are always people about to go surfing with and enjoy your free time. Te extraño!!
