Hello and a friendly welcome to all hosts viewing this!
I am Florian, and I am here on WorkAway because I love meeting new cultures, improving my language skills, and connecting with all sorts of people from all sorts of places! In this, I can be both quite and contemplative as well as up for discussions about anything that comes up my alley :)
At work, people describe me as energetic, efficient, and independent. Since I bring experience from both the outdoorsy and indoorsy type, having worked in landscape construction and gardening, as well as accounting. Currently I am a student at the University of Zurich in English and History, aspiring to become a high school teacher.
In my leisure, I like to read (mostly, but not limited to, modern fantasy), watch movies and series, play video games, meet friends, go on hikes and in winter go skiing. Enjoying both solitude and good company, I can easily adapt to any situation I am thrown into :)

I can teach both German and English. I am a fluent native German speaker, as well as the quite different language of Swiss German. I am not a native English speaker, but have often been taken for one, and I am training to become an English teacher at high school level. French I am quite bad in, but I can understand basics and speak it a bit.

I have worked in construction, landscape gardening, as well as accounting. This means I am well versed with all types of machinery, gardening of a smaller and larger scale, and bring knowhow and skills of all sorts of manual labour to the table :) I have also worked with kids before on previous stays (not via WorkAway) and have received formidable feedback. And if it came to that, I would also be able to provide basic (and a bit) computer and technological help. I can cook with recipes, I am just not very fast with it. Lastly, I am a quick learner, so teaching me something new would go fairly quickly :)
