Hi!
I'm Kira from Germany. At the moment I'm doing an apprenticeship at a vegan restaurant but when I'm finished in early 2019 I want to explore our beautiful planet again. I already travelled for 13 months after highschool and I absolutely loved it. I wasn't familiar with workaway at that time just yet but I worked as an Au Pair in Australia for 6 months. Living with a local family is definitely the best way to experience a foreign country I think. I also lived with a hostfamily in the US for a semester when I was 16. I love to really get to know the culture and the new environment I'm in. Workaway is a great opportunity to do so, it seems!
I'm a truly positive, life loving and grounded girl with a passion for vegan cooking and sports such as surfing, yoga, hiking, cycling & tennis. I would describe myself as easy going but also very reliable.

My experience with this family was great! I stayed with Nikos ex wife for 6 weeks last summer and only ocassionally went to Nikos house up on the mountain. Orfeus is a super sweet kid full of energy who loves to play outside and run. around. He speaks English super well and I really enjoyed spending time. with him.

My 6 weeks with this family were amazing! They are very sweet and caring and made my feel at home!
The location is perfect, it’s right next to the beach and a lovely forest.

Boy was I sad to see Kira leave! Kira stayed with me for three weeks, having to cut her stay short because of corona virus. Kira is a special young woman. My three weeks with Sarah and her beautiful son Izzy were absolutely amazing!
The work hours are very flexible and I really enjoyed my tasks which involved mostly cooking healthy meals, holding Izzy, helping in the garden, going grocery shopping and cleaning.

I absolutely enjoyed staying with this family! Teegan and Chris a very relaxed and kind people and I felt very comfortable around the house.
The work hours are cleary structured which I liked because it made planning my free time easier.

Wow wow wow, this was the best first workaway experience I could have ever wished for!
If you ever get to stay with this family you're extremely lucky! That's at least how I felt while staying with them :-)
They let me be part of the family and made my 2,5 months in Hawaii very memorable!
