  • Description

NOW Accepting Invitations for Summer 2021 as soon as Canada removes all restrictions!! (I would really love to travel in other terms, but unfortunately I'm still in school and I will be available only in spring and summer :)
An ambitious traveller who's been in love with European culture. I was born in Hong Kong but now living and studying in Canada for my English major (graduating in 1.5 year!). I started volunteering as a Workawayer in Europe last year and since then I have decided to do the same in every summer! Most of the projects that I have been helping with are language teaching, helping at summer camps and curriculum planning for other alternative, educational projects. Apart from teaching, I oftentimes do something interesting with my hosts. It may be testing out different recipes and cooking together, a presentation about the history and culture of my home country, or playing cards and different board games at night! When volunteering at local schools, I enjoy leading language games and having meaningful conversations with students instead of forcing them to do some serious "classwork". During my last Workaway project at a private school in Poland, I played Taboo, Hangman, Heads up", Broken Telephone, Splat and Backpacker with the students that I taught, and they all enjoyed their lessons very much, even the "shy ones"! I have realized that the best way to engage students into their lesson is to have fun with them and be a part of them! Other than that, I would be also very happy to try some other tasks and discover new hobbies! Recently, I have been learning Muay Thai and trying to learn some Spanish and Polish. It has been such an unforgettable and refreshing experience to travel as a Workawayer and I have always wanted to do the something similar again.
Moreover, here's a little bit about my plans for future...I will finish my post-secondary education within he next 2 years, and I'm planning to obtain a teaching certificate for teachers who teach English as a second language. I might have opportunities to try something else, but now I'm still deciding what to do after my graduation. Hope I will get some inspiration when travelling as a Workawayer!
    See you!
