Hi there! Having grown up surrounded by workaways who were living on my family's farm, I am excited to continue my travels in Europe and beyond. Building community and sharing experiences with people has always brought me joy and I look forward to cultivating relationships in new places. One of my overarching goals for my trip is to volunteer on homesteads and farms that follow permaculture principles and live a self sufficient lifestyle.
In January 2025, I participated in a 2 week Permaculture Design Course in Portugal to obtain my certificate. I would therefore be ever so happy to put my knowledge into practice and help with any projects and designs you are envisioning!

As an avid gardener of 9 years, I have developed a strong passion for growing food and incorporating self sufficiency into my life. Each summer, I tended to a 1/4 acre plot where I planted a variety of crops over the years, from melons and asparagus to flax and indigo (for spinning and dyeing). I incorporated permaculture and regenerative farming practices including sheet mulching, companion planting, home-made compost applications, housing mason bees, and establishing pollinator gardens. I have operated small tractors with equipment including front loader, mower, and cultivator.

To broaden my gardening horizons, I spent 5 months in Kauai on an organic high production vegetable and fruit farm where I lived with a close-knit community. During this time, I gained experience working weekly markets, packing and delivering produce to local grocery stores, and tending crops at all stages of growth.

Working in the hospitality/customer service industry from a young age, I have acquired robust interpersonal skills being in fast paced environments, equipping me with the ability to navigate challenging situations. I possess a strong work ethic and willingness to expand my knowledge when it comes to learning new skills.

Growing up on a farm, I have many years' experience caring for a variety of animals including dogs, horses, goats, pigs, cows, poultry, etc. I have been riding horses since the age of 9 so I am very comfortable working with and being around them. I am also familiar with milking cows both by hand and in a dairy parlor.

I consider myself to be adventurous, adaptable, and motivated. I seek opportunities to give back to the environment and the community as I travel to new places, so if there is the option to do so, I would be very interested in learning more!

I love interactive games such as cards, board games, and any outdoor activities. I also enjoy knitting, painting, singing and playing the guitar, and cooking/baking from scratch!
