Hello! I'm Junna from Tokyo, Japan!

I stay in Ireland from August 2024 with working holiday visa.

I'm friendly (sometimes a bit shy), funny, eager, open-mind, independent and always smiling person!
Also, I'm adventure lover, full of energetic!!!

I am 26 years old. Born and raised in Tokyo. I majored in political science in Japanese university and after graduation (Mar,2022), I worked at the trading company as a salesperson for 2 years and 2024 in March, I quitted! Cause I want to fulfill my dream that in the future I want to live and work at overseas. I don't know at the moment what I will want to do. So I want to challenge everything which makes me excited!!!

I hope I can meet a lot of amazing people and learn different cultures :)

My passion is traveling! I have visited 20 countries and I want to visit many Europe countries!!

1.Childcare
I worked at the elementary school as an assistant teacher for 2 years when I was an university student. The reason why I started this job was at that time was COVID, so I wanted to help children who struggled the big changing situation. I tried my best that many children could feel safe and enjoy their precious school life. After graduation, I worked at the trading company as a sales person. On my weekends, I joined as a volunteer at English camps for elementary school children. I really enjoyed communicating and playing with the children!

Since I came to Ireland, I minded 2 boys ( 13&11 years old) and 4 children (8.5.3.1) in Galway. I really love children. I understand how to communicate with them and I always can care for them and we can enjoy!

2.Agriculture, Gardening, Farm etc...
My dad grows a lot of vegetables at his own field in Japan and I helped him for some years. And I've joined in gardening with workaway in Ireland. So I have some basic knowledges and skills about agriculture and gardening. And I played basketball for 7 years so I have confident in my physical strength!

3.Cleaning
I've stayed for each 3 weeks and cleaned 3 places in Ireland. The hostel in Wicklow mountain, Airbnb, and the B&B in Dublin. I know how to clean basically.

4.House tasks
I lived alone for 2 years in Japan so overall I can do all housework smoothly and I like cooking! I can provide healthy and delicious meals. If requested I can cook Japanese meals:)

5.Others
I'm good at planning my traveling with as less money as possible I can but of course at the same time I think how I can enjoy the fullest! I go traveling a lot so I need to do lol

What else ...

I want to try more outdoor activities like hiking, camping etc:) I want to see a lot of beautiful views regardless of urban or nature!

And I also love hot spring and sauna! While I was a sales worker in Japan, I went to many wonderful places on my weekends! I hope I will be able to find good ones in Europe!!! Tell me some recommendations if you know:)

I like cooking! I started practicing when COVID stay home term (Before I wasn't good at ) While I was a salesperson in Japan, every day I cooked breakfast, lunch box and dinner however I was busy and tired. I can cook healthy delicious meals:)

My favorite movie is Harry Potter! I watched all movies many times and every time I cried! lol Also I watched the Broad way show in NY with my American friend!

I stayed here from end of October 2024 to middle of February 2025 ( During Christmas, I was in Germany) and it was such an amazing experiences!! They welcomed me warmly and I could relax all of my staying:) The … read more children is super cute, high educated, cleaver, creative, funny and energetic! Deirdra and Kenny are wonderful parents of the children! They are very nice and helped me all the time! The house and my room are very big and comfortable. The location is perfect to go to Galway city! I really like cycling so I borrowed bike from them but there's direct bus service to the city near the house!

My task was flexible but basically Monday to Thursday morning was free so when I could get up early, I walked around the house or cycled to the city. Usually before children coming home, I did some small house tasks- tidying up the kitchen and dining room, and hanging up and folding the laundry for about a hour. And then when children coming home, I gave some foods, helped with their homework and played together. I could be free when either of the parents coming home around 16:15 and after dinner I tidied up the kitchen, dining room and the playroom. All tasks aren't needed special skills! Friday was spending with Finn for a few hours and the parents come home earlier so I could be free after that. Weekends are all my own. I could get the opportunity to work at the cafe in the city and go explore to west Ireland!!

Minding 4 children sounds hard but it was rare to mind all of them alone and when I had to do, but Maggie-the oldest sister was like little mom and she minded other children very well! It was so helpful. When I needed my own space, they immediately understood and always respected my opinions. I enjoyed playing with them all the time:) They like especially UNO, building, hide and seek, play pretend etc...! I had to entertain them but honestly I was entertained by them and I learned many things from them. Traveling alone for long time sometimes makes me lonely, but I did NEVER feel during staying here!! I was so happy to see children growing cause they grow so fast...!

Thank you so so much again. I couldn't made great memories without you in Galway! When I will have a chance to visit Galway, I really want to come visit again! :)) I miss you all !!!
