Description
Hi! I’m Julio. I’m 24 and was born in Ecuador. Recently, I’ve been surprised by how big the world is and how many people and cultures I can get to know. I always value the talent and hard work that people put into any kind of art. I was introduced to Workaway not so long ago by my girlfriend who has had great experiences!
I have always found it fascinating how deep you can go in a subject or how much knowledge you can find, and how people love what they do and live for it. I am willing to learn and do many new things, so as not to miss out on any experience that could be rewarding for me. I like to see a job well done, and I like to know how things are made, their processes, forms of elaboration, or the way in which things are built, that always gives more value to each item, no matter how big or small it is.
I consider myself very organized and I like to sort my daily tasks in a useful way because it is always easier and more efficient. Good teamwork is very appreciated, since by working together with other people, you learn from them, as well as have respect, patience, empathy and consideration. I try to be helpful and polite as much as I can, and love being grateful to those around me.
I like meeting new people, their customs and their ways of thinking, because even if we don't always have the same opinion or concept, when we talk, we can reach a middle ground where we are all comfortable. I tend to see the best that each person has to offer, and help with whatever it is.
I find it amazing to know new places, with different cultures, and how it can be so different from what I am used to seeing in my day to day life. I love to get out of my routine and see historical places, curiosities, or those that are simply beautiful to look at. Visiting museums and theaters is always a perfect plan for me. I am looking forward to every thing that I can adapt to or learn on each trip, and I always see that I am filled with some new kind of knowledge.Interests

More details about your skills
1. Arts and Crafts
I have always been good with my hands. Watching what people can create has always astonished me, and inspired me to create myself. Paper in particular is one of my favorite means, such as origami, collages, the creation of paper from recycled materials, and any artistry that requires it. Arts and crafts means being delicate and precise with your hands and also it has its unique imperfections. When I was little, I used to print those 3D Pokemon characters that you would cut out, fold, and glue together to make the creatures, and I always tried to increase the difficulty level with the next one.
2. Graphic Design
My journey with this beautiful career began in 2019 because a friend of mine saw some of my drawings after I finished high school, and then he told me to research on this path. I was so interested in seeing the process of how people could make something, whereas usually you only see the final results. I learned about some 3D modeling and animating, as well as the use of Adobe elements for cleaning and retouching photos, creating designs for social media and motion graphics. I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design with a mention in Animation and Digital Art in the field of Arts and Humanities. For the past couple of years I have been working as a graphic designer for a marketing agency.
3. Driving
I learned to drive cars at 18 years old, without having my own car and I always loved driving friend’s and family’s cars to practice. I always tried to be really careful with the people I’m taking, creating thus, a sense of responsibility for other lives. Later on, I learned to drive a motorcycle because of a job.
4. Quick Learner, Punctuality, Organized
Since I was little, I always thought that people were naturally born with talents and knowledge, until I started trying things for myself. So, in that way, I realized that you can learn abilities and that help you to easily adapt to acquire new skills. Punctuality is key because I think that if people go to meet they’re using their valuable time and that means we should appreciate that and take it into consideration. I think that there is always a different way to organize things based on their function. For example, classifying things into categories based on their purpose or similarities, putting thoughts into order, or even time.
5. Animals, Nature, Gardening, Conservation
Man’s best friend, my most important, furry encounter. This is the story of Cata, This was my very own first dog, and she was a little beagle. She taught me how to take care of newborn puppies, and I always treated her like my little treasure. Animals know how to give love even if they don’t know how to verbally communicate. This means a lot to me because of how good it makes me feel. I’ve learned about love through them in that same unconditional way.
There was a time when I didn’t feel my best, and as a way to find myself and heal, I began hiking around these forested mountains near my hometown. I discovered how fresh the air was, how much life there is, and I also loved to see how plants can thrive in different spots and places to grow. Fungi especially, are what fascinate me the most. Seeing how they’re linked through a giant network and how they communicate through other living organisms is absolutely astounding. This brings me to gardening, and how it makes me value even the smallest life form found in a plant. Being connected to nature has helped me overcome difficulties and feel better with myself. This is why I believe its conservation is important. Taking care of our planet means taking care of so many lives, much bigger than our own.
6. Problem Solving, Handyman, Tech Savvy, and Construction
In my home, there’s always someone asking me for help. It can be with building furniture, connecting electrical circuits, fixing broken items, or explaining how technology works. This helps me value the importance of things and the process of putting them together. It’s also shown me how to appreciate others' hard work, as doing it myself gives me a sense of satisfaction when I finish. I consider myself a quick problem solver, and can think of multiple solutions when something needs to get done or fixed.
7. Baking
Recently, I’ve gotten into baking! One thing I love the most besides eating the results, is seeing how people love to share moments together during the process of baking goods and then tasting the pastries. To me, baking is precision, and exact measurements in order to get things right. It’s like building something step by step and you have to be detailed with this art. I feel like this teaches me about following rules and paying attention to even the smallest details.Age
