Hello! My name is Julia, I’m from the United States and will be traveling through Ireland this fall. I studied Conservation Biology in college and in my non-traveling life, I work on farms in Wisconsin, USA, write stories, and play guitar and sing in an old-time band. I am excited to explore the music and farming in Ireland, learning from locals and sharing my own experiences! I can offer my skills as a biologist, gardener, and amateur baker, and love practicing Spanish and English with people.

I can offer up my skills as a biologist, gardener, and artist, and am happy to do language exchanges between Spanish and English. I also love to bake, and would love to share some family recipes as well as learn about your own local cuisine. Job wise, I have had experience working on farms, doing biological research, and writing. For the past five months, I have been working in an herbarium at La Universidad Del Azuay, classifying and organizing their plant database.

Being able to live with local families has been one of the most rewarding and life changing ways I’ve been able to learn about and explore the world. I think its very special to be able to do so through the exchange of skills and time, and look forward to learning from you and your family.
