  • Description

    Hi everyone!
I'm Juan (but everyone call me Colo), I was born and raised in Argentina, but I've been living in Europe since 2015 (between Italy and Spain).
Based in Spain, in 2021 I've been doing some workaway in Andalucia and working in a winery for the Vintage in Bordeaux, so now I start 2022 looking for new projects Spain.

In 2020, I worked and travelled around Australia (not too much travelling due to COVID), and there was where I had my first Workaway experiences, and I discovered is an amazing way to live.
In October 2020, once I came back from Australia and since I had some spare time, I made the Camino de Santiago, from Pamplona to Finisterre, amazing experience!

I've studied industrial engineering in Argentina, I used to work in the automotive industry, but I quit to stay away from the corporate world for a while.

I'm an easygoing and open-minded person, who loves all kinds of music and playing the Spanish guitar and singing.
I hope we can meet soon!

    Espero conocernos pronto!

    Colo.

For the majority of my working life I've had offices jobs with some time spent in the factories as an operations consultant. However, I enjoy manual work, although I haven't had the opportunity to do it professionally, only ever helping out at home or for friends.
As a child I used to do the garden maintenance of our house in the countryside in Argentina, so that's something I'm good at and I enjoy, as well as home redecoration.
Lately I've been very interested in woodworking, but I've never worked on my own woodworking project so I'm really keen to learn a bit more about it!
I speak Spanish (my mother tongue), English (fluent), Italian (fluent) and French (conversational) so would be happy to work in multilingual environments.

  • What else ...

I really enjoy going to the opera and classical music concerts, something we used to do as a family when I was younger.
I also used to study piano, but I stopped practising at university, so I'm quite rusty now.
Lately, I've been very interested in how spanish guitars are made and would love to build my own, so that's something that I'd love to learn, as it is such a fine art, and combines music and craft work, two things that I admire.
