Hello! My name is Josephine. I'm from Toronto, CA and I'm on a working holiday visa here in Australia :) I got here in May 2024, and my goal is to see the main spots in the country and do a van trip in New Zealand.

I have been living quite nomadically for the past 5 years, spending time 4ish years on-and-off in North America and Europe, 2 years in South America, a recent year in East + South East Asia and now in the ANZ region. I hope to see Africa in depth next!

I work remotely, and right now am currently the co-founder of a globally distributed creative consultancy called the horae. With a small team of 4, we provide marketing, branding, communications, & events strategic support, mainly collaborating with climate and social change initiatives and organizations.

Professionally: my background is in media production. I worked in agencies, studios, etc. for a few years as a producer, before hopping into tech + remote work. Then I dug deep into tech branding, tech marketing and really continue embracing the remote lifestyle. Right now, I'm on my path of entrepreneurship, specifically in the niches of climate, sustainability and circular economy. I'm working on being an efficient and compassionate leader.

Culturally: Family from Hong Kong (Guangdong provinces of China), born and raised in Canada. I'm a mixed identity kid, being open-minded and culturally enriched is one of my biggest and most important skillsets. I love learning about different backgrounds and perspectives. I can go on for days about the most obscure topics. I also love to cook!

Physically (?): I practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu (martial arts) and exercise every single day. I can do physical labour and outdoor work (with the right direction). Currently learning to fix pedal bikes and up my mechanical skills.

I love road trips! I want to explore around Perth and Western Australia. Go around on road trips during the weekends, camping, etc. I want to see the beaches!
