I'm in Sweden.
My next destination:
Sweden - from Jul 2025 until Aug 2026 View allDescription
Update: Now I'm in Mora, Sweden. And I have workaways setup until November.
---------
I went in France for a 1 week holiday, and well it has turned into a 1 year stay, where I ended up exploring and discovering myself and my preferencs in many things. I also met Ulani, which was a companion met while travelling and we explored the beautiful French villages and cities, while both of us are improving and learning the French language.
I like physically demanding tasks and don't shy away from labour. The most attractive life is on a farm or in a countryside village, not so much the city life. I love to prepare firewood, gardening, taking care of farm animals, farming and even construction. I used to work in IT and like to change to experiment and test, and try new things and ideas. I consider myself to be hard working and diligent, and sometimes quiet resourceful.
The photos on my profile are from the different works done at different workaways.
Exercise is part of my daily routine, 7 days a week. Early morning runs are the best, frequent bike rides or swimming when in season or the conditions are favourable.
I can cook, although usually I prefer to prepare simple meals. Ulani was the Chef.
I'm quite knowledgeable about geography, history and technology and quite open to discuss the controversial topics, like politics, religion, social values, moral and ethics, and the 'but why' questions that children usually and appropriately ask.
If you asked me how I got into being interested in knowing such things, the answer would usually end up being Google, Wikipedia, HOI4, EU4 or ETW. I used to be an avid PC gamer.
The advise given to me a few years ago, that helped me in the tough times: if you're anxious, get busy.Interests

More details about your skills
Studied for a National Diploma in Computer Engineering.
Than worked in IT for around 10 years within various companies in Malta.
During the last 3 years I have been travelling around Europe. I met many kinds of people. Some of them make you talk and open up for hours, some make you think and reconsider lots of things.
The most fun was actually, how to find and burn firewood. Chop and saw trees, season them, than cut and split the logs. Finally build storage and stack it full.
I helped in building a mezzanine, and 2 pergolas, we had to chizzel some very hard stone, and prepare wooden beams, sand them, and varnish.
Helped in reinforcing the beams of a collapsed ceiling.
Insulated a roof and ceiling, that we had to make the glue for.
Also I now consider myself an expert in how to disassemble a wooden pallet from all its planks and remove all the nails in 1 - 2 mins per pallet.
Learned how to cut and prune, branches from plants and trees, for gardening or for fruit & vegetables.
There are other outside and forest skills that I learned, for example a mushroom called 'amadu' (thats the phonetic pronunciation), when dried it's very good as kindling to start a fire.
Learned how to use and repair all kinds of tools and power tools.
Have a good idea on how to build a house in wood and stone, and the differents tools and needed to set up walls, roofs, floors, insulation, water, electricity and network.
Took care of horses, dogs, goats and cats.
Renovated many dogs houses/kennels.
Restored and built chairs, benches, shelves, frames, fences, walls and floors in wood, metal, stone and tile.
Leveled lots of ground, also sometimes with concrete mix.
Also took care of reception, cleaning, laundry and repairing for a big guest house and a caravan site.
Lots and lots of painting.
Basically, during this time I learned a skillset, not gained from school or from my IT career.Age
