Description
Hi!
We are Mathilda and Joel, 29 and 30 years old from Sweden where we currently live. For the past years, we've worked in a mine here and before that in a fish factory in northern Norway.
We both love being outdoors, with hobbies including hiking, skiing, cayaking, running and biking. When the weather is bad, we prefer the gym or yoga at home.
In the past, I (Mathilda) have volunteered on several organic farms in Japan, Jordan, Tanzania, Bulgaria, Romania and Israel. In Switzerland, I volunteered at a permaculture centre mainly working in their herb gardens. In Israel, I took a month-long course on permaculture. Organic gardening is something I'm very interested in!
Besides this, taken several courses on buddhism and meditation in Nepal and India. The longest was a month-long course in a monastery in Nepal, the shortest was a 10-day Vipassana course.
Joel is super easy going and have several other hobbies including volleyball (or any team sport), video games and painting. He grew up on a farm in northern Finland with cats, horses and dogs. He loves outdoor work and manual labour.
We both work hard and love learning new things. We're interested in most things and generally very easy going.
FYI;
We both have coeliacs disease (highly allergic to gluten) which limits us a bit around food and preparation of food but it is usually manageable with some modifications.Interests

More details about your skills
Joel has worked several years in a fish factory in Norway as a shift leader, which gave him experience in manual labour and leading people. He has also worked as a dump truck operator in the Aitik mine (Swedens largest mine), as an industrial cleaner on Norwegian Gannet - a large fishing boat sailing in the Nordics, as an ambassador for Nordjobb - an organisation focusing on helping youths in the Nordic countries getting jobs in other Nordic countries.
He grew up on a farm in the woods of Northern Finland and is well used to manual labour in many forms, from chopping wood to driving tractors and fixing whatever is broken.
I, Mathilda spent many years working in hotels as a receptionist in Norway, Greenland and Sweden when I wasn't backpacking around the world. I've also worked as a hostess in a restaurant and as help in the restaurant kitchens.
Later, I started working in a fish factory in Norway before moving back to Sweden to work as a dump truck operator in the Aitik mine.
During my many travels, I've volunteered in many different fields. I've worked as an English teacher in India, in a monastery clinic in Myanmar, for an NGO in India focusing on water conservation and reforestation, for a nunnery in Romania making syrups and honey and in several permaculture projects focusing on organic gardening.Age
