Hey! I’m looking to expand my knowledge of forestry, habitat management, conservation and bush survival. I’ve experience working as a Ranger with the National Trust in the UK and I’m looking to fortify that experience internationally. Alongside this experience I’ve travelled extensively through Central and South America, as well as some areas of Sub-Saharan Africa, learning about eco-tourism and conservation projects and trying to improve my knowledge of ecology, flora and fauna.
I’m really keen on joining organisations or families that are activating a positive change in their local area and community, and with whom I can share my skills and experience and from whom I can learn a lot.
Alongside my desire to learn about nature and my environment I am also looking to make connections with people and to share awesome experiences. Life is better when it’s shared and when people can come together to learn and enact positive differences!Interests

More details about your skills
With previous experience working as a Ranger I have skills in forestry and countryside management including:
Tree planting (using various methods), coppicing, fence and general infrastructure maintenance and repair, habitat and species monitoring, event organisation and preparation.
In my roles in the sales and education sectors I have managed diverse teams with great success, and consider myself an accomplished leader and motivator.
In my personal life I maintain fitness by climbing and hiking. I’ve helped my family with maintaining a veg patch (with varying levels of success)! I am also a stand up comedian having performed a number of gigs back in the UK so hopefully I can provide laughter and keep up morale!Age

What else ...
I’m really keen to work in the forestry and conservation sector and, had I realised this sooner in life, I would have studied this instead of my Philosophy Degree. Now, I’m looking to expand my knowledge base and gain field experience in this and related sectors (countryside management, sustainable farming, animal husbandry), as well as gaining useful contacts from whom I can learn.
