Hi, this is Jocelyn from the Workaway Team!
I would love to have cultural exchanges with different people around the world and have an amazing community experience. I love deep conversations with people around the world; I studied English literature, politics and sociology in university, and am fascinated by discussions about them. I'm also a music lover and would love to play my cello as well as learn about your favourite music!
My friends will describe me as free-spirited and thoughtful, and while I'm happy to help groups and with tourists or small classes etc, I am also happy to work alone and have a bit of personal space for reflection and writing in my journal.
One of the things I am most looking forward to is to spend time with my host and explore their favourite parts of their hometown, as well as share meals after a day of volunteering!! I would love to introduce dishes and language from my home country as well. If this is what you are looking for, then we will definitely be a match!
I am open to new experiences and helping out wherever necessary, especially with young adults and/or animals :)

More details about your skills

-Experience in private English tutoring with kids from 6-18yo (writing and speaking). Will be happy to teach English or Cantonese (native language) to individual/small groups of children of these ages!
-I've organised and led various fresher's summer camps every year when I was in uni so I have lots of practice on connecting with new people quickly and having a good time with a group of new friends!
-I love animals and used to volunteer as a dog walker in the UK; am happy to help with petsitting. I would LOVE to help look after farm animals if you don't mind that I have no experience - I am happy to learn if you are willing to teach me :)
-Gardening, housework and cooking help at home. I used to live abroad on my own ;)
-I am also happy to play the cello, to teach and to collaborate with other musicians - let me know beforehand so I take my instrument with me!
