My next destination:
Brisbane, Australia - from Sep 2023 until Sep 2024 View allDescription
Hi everyone, I’m a Portuguese biologist studying in the UK, desperately missing warm weather and looking for a new adventure. I’m a part-time student working on black rhino in East Africa - which is pretty cool and I also volunteer for a NGO and help out with research, data analysis and admin. I have a slight obsession with animals, both wildlife and domestic and enjoy speeding time outdoors. I love wildlife photography and going on safari. I’m looking for a little break from my busy schedule, have a good time and make new friends. Currently looking for opportunities near the ocean as I am committed to learn to surf, however I’m very open to I’m very open to any opportunities that arise. I’m hard-working and very reliable and comfortable working with people, animals or any costumer facing roles. I’m also hoping to use this time to gain new skills and learn new things.

My two main skills is that I'm a very hard-working person but also very flexible. I'm a self-funded student so I've worked many costumer focused jobs and worked for NGOs and universities. All of those gave some very useful transferable skills.
People skills: I've worked as a bartender, waitress and in retail in a busy shopping centre in the UK. I've previously managed groups of people and taught students. I have a lot of costumer service experience as well as admin.
Animal skills: I've worked as a primate career and volunteer coordinator in South Africa and in a biological park in Portugal and as an aquarium technician in a research university. I've got experience with animal husbandry and handling.
Languages: I speak English and Portuguese and have some understanding of Spanish.Age

What else ...
I'm interested in photography. I mostly focus on wildlife and landscape but I was the photographer for the Manchester Surf club (yes it exists) for 3 years. I'm also interested in learning to surf.
