Hello there!

My name is Jeff, I'm from the United States. I'm an outdoor education professional by trade - which means I love working with children and spending time in the outdoors - and I'm looking for new adventures around the world! Here's a little more info about me so you know who you're inviting into your home.

Who am I?
I'm a 25-year-old professional goofball. What does that entail you might ask? It means I have taken advantage of my wackiness and social awkwardness and combined it with my capacity for emotional depth and vulnerability to teach and lead the next generation of young people how to utilize emotional literacy to express their feelings. I've worked with children in a professional capacity for about 8 years in settings ranging from the outdoor work previously mentioned, to public school classrooms, and crisis work. While I have loved working with children, I am passionate about learning and developing more skills. I consider myself a life-long learner in addition to a childcare professional. In pursuit of this belief, I want to help others in exchange for the opportunity to explore the many beautiful places & cultures this world has to offer! I'm adept at childcare with a total of 8 years of professional workplace experience.
I'm a certified Level II challenge course worker with hundreds of hours of guiding groups of both adults and children through ropes courses & zip lines.
I have intermediate experience both leading groups of young adults as well as solo time in the backcountry. A significant amount of this time was spent in the Wyoming wilderness.
I have extensive experience living within an intentional community of 50 people from all over the world. Some of the tasks involved in this include cooking meals for the entire community, general maintenance of the site, and deep cleaning of office and other communal spaces.
During the summer of 2023, I led and managed a team of young adults in running the adventurous and busy (18 hours/day) daily activities that take place at a summer camp!

Some additional skills:
I have intermediate knowledge of survival skills in a wilderness environment and has taught a course on this subject to over 100 adults and children.
I have 2 years total experience working in the service industry (restaurants) - all FOH or front-of-the-house experience.
