Description
Hello! 🙏💜
My name is Jemma, from Northern Ireland.
I have been fortunate to have had quite an interesting adventure already in my first 10 years of adult life: from originally going to study AI, changing to go to circus school, to almost becoming a Buddhist monastic. I am now a qualified massage therapist and aim to learn more healing modalities. I am now wanting to explore my spirituality and different ways of living in harmony with community and nature, so I can continue to see where life will take me next.
I have had a huge array of different interests across my life, but I am motivated fundamentally by my spiritual path. I have an ideal of living a simple, conscious lifestyle within a spiritually driven community. I care deeply for the Earth and aim to live sustainably. I strive to live in a way that I can cultivate Joy and satisfaction from having just my basic needs met, so that I can give generously in time, energy, and resources.
I'm very keen to learn (more) about eco-building, permaculture, foraging, carpentry, veggie cooking, renewable energy, community organisation, etc.
Some of my other hobbies include music, dance, yoga, photography, and reading.
I am a hard-worker, eager and fast to learn new skills and to get stuck into practical tasks! Especially any opportunity to connect with the Earth and animals.
I can be playful yet calm with a deep intuition to help and care for those around me. I am incredibly organised and really enjoy cleaning (believe it or not!).
As long as I have clear instructions, I'm open to doing almost anything.
Over the last 6 years, I have done volunteering at over 12 centres and in total, nearly 2 years worth! All mainly eco-farms and/or spiritual retreat centres.
I look forward to experiencing different community ways of life, learn new skills and ways of thinking, and to connect deeply with new people and environments.
