Greetings!

I'm a music lover and a peaceful drummer - I practice a lot of meditation and I like to be outside, especially in naturally rich areas. I am plant based and very open minded. i love this world and I want to know more about it 🌎 🌍 🌏

I'm currently on a long trip solo travelling. I was becoming restless back home so i thought it wise to hit the road again

I have experience working on self-sufficient organic farms throughout different parts of Europe and dealing with various aspects of permaculture life - I also volunteered at an eco-garden based in Cardiff City (Railway Gardens) that took initiatives in tree planting and forest regeneration whilst also being a community space open to teach and develop a societal understanding of the importance of green spaces and sustainability.

I have previously worked on an organic farm planting vegetables and crops whilst also maintaing the grasslands down at Slade Farm in South Wales

In the past i used to own a small poly tunnel so i have some useful skills surrounding the growing of such things like fresh greens, tomatoes and other small garden veg.

This year I also volunteered with a 'community empowerment' program in Indonesia (Malang) - Here I developed skills working with younger college students and teaching classes at schools for younger children.

my hobbies include: walks - yoga - drumming - photography - making tunes & drawing - writing reading and being out in the open world amongst nature :)

i have a deep sense of rhythm and i'm very sensitive to music. i like being healthy and clean channeled - i don't do drugs or drink alcohol. i like peace and being in the flow.

talking and sharing with others, new and old, can be the best kind of experiences for me.

When We first interviewed Jake for the volunteering opportunity, Jake seemed very open to any kind of experience at our place. When he arrived, He had this vibe of coolness and you just know he us up for the game here. Jake joined various activities from teaching English, facilitating Welsh games for kids, leading a speaking session for Boys' … read more Islamic Dormitory School, making BigBook for kids, recording an audio-book, to day-to-day sharing session with the local volunteers. By seeing him working, we are sure he has delivered some important skills;

1. Communication: Whenever we will deliver a session, we had a briefing for the preparation. Jake usually will ask to clarify things, asking some essential questions in a way it helps the program team to make the preparation better. We are sure he will bring this skill in whatever settings he has later.
2. Impact: Here, sometimes things can get busy and there will be things like lost in translation because of the language barrier. But Jake was always showing great patience to listen to our thoughts, maintaining the eye contact while talking, and always having this can-do attitude. He shows great impact that makes everyone comfortable working with him. We imagine in a professional setting, this leadership dimension will help because he will make people comfortable while working with him.
3. Adaptability. Doing volunteering at the palce, our global volunteers live with a host family to have the cultural immersion. Jake lived with a moslem and also non-vegetarian family but he showed fast adaptation for the family. He said yes to every new experience offered by the family including trying the traditional massage and also connecting to the kids. Jake also made a friendship outside the office with the local musicians and he spent time with them talking, traveling, attending music events, and jamming (He's a great drummer). I imagine that ability can be taught for kids because music is really good for the learning process. Working in a multicultural setting will be an east task for him because he is used to do this.

It is always amazing to meet a person like Jake who is humble and open to many experiences. He is knowledgeable yet not intimidating. It is rare to talk to a person about many things from music to culture, from movies to personal feelings. And when you are talking to him, time ticks fast. We really hope that his three-weeks volunteering experience at the place will benefit him for the future work. He will be a great addition to institutions from a nonprofit to a private company or any other settings.

Good luck for his endeavour and really wish to meet him again some times in the future!
