Hi, my name is Isobel, but everybody calls me Issy. I'm a travel enthusiast who is planning an exciting gap year from October 2023 (starting in Vietnam). I plan to use Workaway to find jobs all over the world, with the intention of meeting new people, learning new cultures and languages and seeing nature at its best. What brings me most happiness is stepping off a plane in a new country to start a new adventure.

I have many transferrable skills, all of which are highly sought after within the hospitality/tourism and childcare industries. I have years of experience in babysitting and childcare for kids from the age of 8 months to 14 years old. In this role I help the children with their schoolwork, I cook, organise day outs and often look after pets (such as dogs) at the same time. I have also worked as a waitress in a restaurant for 2 years, and I've been promoted to supervisor which shows that my skills have improved and my responsibilities have grown. This job has taught me impeccable customer service skills, confidence and the ability to juggle many tasks without buckling under pressure. I am also a very willing person, so I'm always eager to learn and try my best. I also speak French and have a qualification in TEFL so I would be able to teach English to those who want to.

I'm a lively and energetic girl who is always up for an adventure. I love to have fun which can be in many forms; my favourite is music. I study geography which has sparked my interest in the wide world and lead me to have the passion for exploring the world. A particular interest for me is music from across the globe, I would love to learn more music. I also used to live in France, so I can speak French confidently and I've experience what it's like to be immersed into a culture I don't know.
