Hi! Our names are Shelley and Isabel. We are a Canadian/American mother-daughter duo taking some time to explore during the fall. Isabel (daughter, 22) is a structural engineer taking some time to travel between her bachelors and masters. Shelley (mother, 51) currently works as a fundraising and grant management consultant. We are from the mountains of Colorado, and are outdoor enthusiasts with endless curiosity about the nature and cultural wisdom of any place we visit. We love to be outside, hiking, swimming, foraging, gardening, or otherwise getting our hands dirty. We also love history, folklore, art, cooking, and learning new skills.

As a structural and architectural engineer, Isabel is able to aid with any task related to structures (and some general engineering tasks). We are both avid cooks and Isabel is a baker, and we are always ready to get into a garden or help with animals. Living in the mountains, we are very comfortable with navigating and surviving in the wilderness, as well as foraging for wild medicinal and edible plants and mushrooms. We are fast learners and love making new friends.
