We are two recent graduates who are taking a year to travel around the world before starting our careers as mental health professionals. Our main motivations for this are to understand ourselves and grow, learn practical skills (especially those around self-sufficiency), experience other cultures, expand our minds, and start to decide how we want to live our lives!

Both of us love nature and want to spend time connecting with it as much as we can. We love rock climbing, hiking, camping, gardening, and looking after beloved pets!

We are also interested in Buddhism, especially Zen Buddhism, and would love to meet people who share this interest.

What brings us happiness is living simply and with purpose!

We are both First Aid certified (with St John Ambulance).

Gardening/farming experience:
- Using chainsaws, strimmers, and various hand tools to clear areas
- Digging irrigation channels for crops
- Watering, planting and re-planting plants
- Duck and geese care (feeding, mucking, herding)
- Slaughtering and plucking poultry

We both cook a variety of dishes regularly from lots of different cultures. We can cook vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes.

Both of us are proficient in using all Microsoft software, SPSS (data analysis software), and general computer usage. We both have experience with coding languages: Python, Java, and C.

Both of us are fit and healthy. We regularly boulder at grade V3-4 and rock climb at grade 6C. We also run, hike, and do strength training exercises regularly. Isabelle is near black-belt level at Tae Kwon Do. We regularly cook healthy balanced meals.

We each have a Psychology BSc degree and have worked in multidisciplinary mental health teams, training to become therapists.

Charlotte speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English, but would like to continue practicing written Chinese and calligraphy.

Charlotte has contributed to a community garden for a year in London, helping to grow beetroot, spinach, herbs etc.

Isabelle plays the bass, the guitar and the violin at a high level. Charlotte plays the piano, the cello, and sings.

Both of us have years of experience with meditation at an amateur level, and some experience of Buddhist meditation techniques.
