Description
Hi everyone! I'm Irene (21yo) an I've joined Workaway with the ambition to find an opportunity to travel, meet new people and improve my language skills :)
I live in a beautiful town on the Lake of Como, surrounded by the mountains. I love trekking, running but also reading and playing guitar. I regularly volunteer for an ONG in works like garden mantainance, wall painting, removals. All money we get need to help poor communities in South America.
In the past I also had the opportunity to work in a farm where I contributed in maintenance of vegetable gardens.
I finished the Scientific High School path in 2021; after that I've attended for 3 months the university (Philosophy), but then I decided to give up and I started working for a small IT company as web developer (Yes, I'm a bit confused about what I'm going to do when I'll grow up!). I've occupied that position for 3 months and after that I had my first Workaway experience in Ireland.
From October 2022 I'm a Computer Science student at Bicocca University in Milan.
I offer IT skills (from general use of computer to basic knowledge of web app/websites mainteinance), gardening help, general mantainance of houses, cooking ... I'm also stupborn enough to face challenging tasks and I learn quickly.
I think that curiousity, desire to learn and a little effort to adapt can open me many doors and chances to discover the beautiful world I live in!Interests

She is a good cook and was happy to cook/bake some italian delicacies for the rest of the group. She got a long with everybody and spent a lot of time with her other colleagues.
Be prepared to miss this place, because you'll call it home just after a week. You'll be immediately caught by the international vibes and the beautiful landscape, which create an atmosphere halfway between a summer camp and an erasmus experience!
