Description
Hello, Nihao, Konnichiwa!
We are a Japanese-Singaporean couple who has been traveling full-time since August 2024 to end our long-distance relationship (12,812km of distance to be exact). Hiroki is a country boy while Pearlynn grew up in the city - together, we are hoping to discover what home and a life together can look like for us through homestays and meeting other families with love for nature, sustainable living, and a peaceful life.
In our previous lives (before life on the road), Hiroki was a software developer while Pearlynn worked in national parks in operations, community engagement, and even policy formulation roles. We both loved our jobs and would be keen to engage with hosts or workawayers with similar interests!
We enjoy slow travel and being in nature, love animals, and are always happy to meet new people! We spent 9 months touring South America and then 10 months in various workaways across New Zealand, which we loved. Now we are excited to explore Mexico and the local way of life through even more workaways as we have discovered what a meaningful and enriching experience it is!

More details about your skills
Hiroki enjoys growing things! Back in Vancouver, he had a small urban garden in his apartment where he grew edibles and various herbs and spices.
Both of us also volunteered at a wildlife rescue centre in Ecuador. We prepped meals, cleaned enclosures, made enrichment activities, and even trained with the animals to provide mental stimulation.
During our time in New Zealand, we dabbled in a wide variety of activities on workaways - gardening, cleaning, cooking, childcare, calf-rearing and milking of dairy cows, caring for chickens and sheep. We are game to try new things and learn on the go too!
We are good communicators and pride ourselves on being hardworking and always willing to learn new things!

These beautiful souls couldn't do enough for us during their stay. They followed through to a high standard of completion, many assigned tasks that were on our 'to do' list . Nothing was too onerous.
They melded well with our family,… read more

Hiroki and Pi stayed with us for almost a month and completely stole our hearts. This incredible couple didn't just work hard (though they absolutely did!) - they filled our home with love, laughter, and the most beautiful energy.
Our children fell head over heels for them, and honestly, so did we.… read more
