More details about your skills
I grew up on a small vegetable farm - I am very comfortable with hand labor, gardening, and raising animals. I can operate small and heavy machinery, have a working knowledge of small-engine repair, and am all-in-all a handy and resourceful person!
I am through and through a physical person and enjoy hands on and practical learning. Through workaway I have completed projects including: renovating and repainting a hostel in Guadalajara, adding an additional room to a house using concrete and blocks in Wadi Rum, Jordan , and creating a workshop using wattle and dob methods in Zahle, Lebanon.
I have taught guitar to children and adults, and currently enjoy going to open mics to sing and play.
I have professional and academic experience as a mountain guide (earned from the National Outdoor Leadership School). This includes former certifications in high-angle rescue (rock climbing) and swift-water rescue (rafting/kayaking)
I have 3+ years of healthcare experience as a former Emergency Medical Technician/ Emergency Department Technician (based in a hospital). I have a solid knowledge of emergency first-aid as well as the ability to act as a caretaker for those who require assistance. I have responded to medical emergencies and am able to maintain a cool head in challenging and unexpected incidents.
