  • Description

Hello! Thanks for reading our profile. We are Emily and Jack...

Jack is a Forest School teacher and charity project manager from south west England, Emily is an NHS Paediatrician with special interests in refugee health and nature therapy from London. We live on a community owned and co-managed regenerative farm in west Wales. We are the founders of Child of the Earth CIC - providing joyful and inclusive forest school and outdoor education to local children and families.

We want to reconnect with nature, meet exciting people with fresh ideas and explore together.

We are learning skills and ideas to enable a low impact life in harmony with the land. In 2021 we stayed with 8 workaway hosts in the UK, Spain and Portugal. We think it is the absolutely best way to travel, learn new skills and to make genuine connections with people.

We are both hard workers and love getting stuck into a project. We are really looking forward to getting sweaty and muddy and enjoying the feeling of our hands and muscles being used for their intended purpose - working with the land and natural materials - not stuck to screens! We enjoy the balance of an early rise and hard working morning, followed by a well deserved swim and relax in the hammock afternoon...

We are hoping to link up with workaway hosts / projects where there is a good balance of independent vs group working and down time. We highly value both quiet, reflection time AND learning from, socialising with and having fun with others!

Looking forward to perhaps meeting you soon. :)
