Description
Hey there, good humans of the world — Carleigh and Tina here!
We’re two adventure-loving babes who have traveled on and off over the years but, like many, got swept into the “work–sleep–repeat” cycle since COVID. Now we’re taking a long-overdue sabbatical to reconnect with ourselves and each other, meet beautiful humans along the way, and remember just how magical life feels when you slow down.
About ten years ago, we built and lived in a converted school bus — our tiny home on wheels named Happy. She’s a huge part of our story. We poured our hearts into creating her with the intention of living simply, joyfully, and with the freedom to live life on our own terms. After three years living in Happy, we eventually bought house with property in North Carolina, where we’ve been slowly renovating and learning as we go.
We absolutely love traveling to new places, meeting new people, and tasting all the delicious noms we can find. We’re super laid-back, kind, and open-minded humans who thrive in community and genuinely enjoy connecting with people of different backgrounds.
We’re especially interested in coffee and food, gardening, homesteading, woodworking, and learning anything hands-on. We love helping with creative projects, cooking, outdoor work, renovation tasks, and anything where we can learn from passionate people and contribute meaningfully.
What you can expect from us:
✨ Positive, warm, easygoing energy
✨ Strong communication and a genuine love of people
✨ Willingness to learn, work hard, and dive into new experiences
✨ Respect for your home, your space, and your rhythms
✨ Two humans who truly appreciate the opportunity to share life with new people
We’d be honored to connect, help out, and share some laughs and good food along the way!
Love + Light,
Car and Tina

More details about your skills
We’re both extremely light-hearted, people-loving humans who feel most at home in spaces where connection matters. Whether it’s chatting with travelers, helping guests feel welcome, working reception, or just being friendly faces in a busy environment, we really thrive in any role that involves humans. We’re both super smiley by nature and bring a lot of warmth and ease wherever we go.
Over the years we’ve each dipped in and out of bartending and barista work. It was never our full-time career path, but we’re comfortable in the service world and down to hustle. Coffee is a little hobby of ours too, so we’re always down for anything café related.
We’re total foodies. Like will joyously celebrate every bite of a delicious meal. Cooking together, trying new recipes, baking bread, sharing dishes we love — it’s a big part of our everyday joy. We get so much happiness from having people around a table, setting a warm vibe, and letting food naturally bring everyone together. It’s just one of the ways we feel most connected to the world and the people in it.
We also both love kiddos and have tons of experience being around and caring for them. Carleigh has nannied for multiple families with kids from newborns to teens, and Tina has spent years working with children through after-school programs and babysitting. We love making kids feel safe, loved, and free to just be kids. Crafts, games, silly fun — all of it is our jam.
A big part of our life together has involved building and creating. We converted a school bus into our tiny home, which taught us everything from basic maintenance to small building projects and lots of hands-on problem solving. For the last four years we’ve been renovating our house — bathrooms, tiling, drywall, trim, painting, demo, building a deck — we’re definitely not master builders, but we’re capable, curious, and up to dive into a challenge with you!
Gardening is where Tina really shines, especially with native plants and working with the land as it is. Both of us are super eager to learn more about permaculture and growing food. We’ve become really mindful about what we eat and where it comes from, so we’d love the chance to learn from anyone who works with the earth. We’re more than happy to dig in, plant, harvest, or help with any outdoor projects.
At the end of the day... we are super flexible and openhearted, and excited to be helpful however we can — whether that’s with people, projects, kids, or the outdoors. We show up with good energy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to contribute!
