Hi!

I am 25 and from Virginia, USA. I finished my degree in 2020 and have been freelance writing for the past 1.5 years.

I am a creative and active person. In my spare time, I draw, paint, read, and write; I love finding new things to make and learn. In particular, I love oil painting and hand-done animation. I also enjoy running, swimming, and hiking. I love being in very calm and peaceful natural settings.

I grew up on a large property in Virginia and am used to (and enjoy) doing various outdoor projects. I'd be happy to help with a variety of tasks, whether it be interior painting, gardening, or something else. More recently, I've begun gardening and hope to learn more about it.
I would love to learn new skills in gardening, renovation, etc through Workaway :) Additionally, I love to cook but am not an expert! Lastly, I come from a big family and I'm happy to help with some childcare and housework.

I am a hard worker, reliable, and self-driven. I am happy to work with others or independently. I hope to find a Workaway where I can help with tasks such as outdoor projects/gardening, creative projects, housework, animals, or something else, while getting to know people and seeing the area. Since I've graduated and been working remotely, I've felt a bit disconnected from the world and would like to change that through travel.

I work part-time hours as a freelance writer (art, travel, culture niche). I set my own schedule and often work at night. Maintaining my light hours (10 hours per week) has not been an issue.

I've done a lot of interior painting, sanding, outdoor painting, and other miscellaneous maintenance type tasks (when I am home, I help get rental properties ready for tenants). I am physically fit, so I can do laborious activities and am happy to learn new skills as needed. I enjoy active tasks, especially outdoors, and can learn as needed.

This year, I had a garden and really enjoyed it. I'd love to help with your garden or other outdoor area. I enjoy learning new gardening techniques and cooking with the food and herbs and hope to get better at it!

I enjoy hanging out with kids and have worked with them in the past (mostly in swim settings and helping out with my young nieces and nephews). I can lend a hand babysitting of course.

I am fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, so I can help with things like video and photo editing. I also paint, draw, have done graphic design in the past, and love any creative activity. I have led creative workshops and helped run a small art gallery in the past. I enjoy oil painting and hand-done animation. I did a lot of this in school.

I swam competitively growing up and worked at a swim school (with kids and adults) for several years. I'm happy to teach water skills. I have also worked in several restaurants and can work easily with others. Sometimes I am more quiet but I enjoy long conversations as well :)

I am a big animal lover. I am a bit familiar with horses and love dogs a lot - happy to help with animal care. I have been around dogs my whole life.

I love to read, paint, write, watch documentaries, listen to music. While I love hanging out with others, I also am very content entertaining myself.

I love the ocean and basically all bodies of water. Swimming has always been my favorite form of physical activity. I love to cook although I am by no means an expert at it! I would love to exchange cooking knowledge.

Lastly, I am from a big family and understand that it can be hectic (in a good way) sometimes!
