Tengo calificaciones y referencias.

    10 años como escritora profesional

Nomadic writer, teacher, translator, plant medicine student and horse lover looking to become less nomadic. At some point.

In 2021, I left my London job to do work exchanges around South America and Europe, learning about natural horsemanship, equine therapy, plant medicine, women's circles and permaculture. My long-term goal is to open a retreat centre in Europe. Until then, I am travelling, learning, and making friends 🙂

    Work & Work Exchange Experience:

6 months as Facilitator at ayahuasca center Soltara in Costa Rica

2 months at Tenerife Horse Rescue, a Freegan community built entirely from recycled and natural materials. Copywriting in English and Spanish, translations, guiding visitors, communications, Social Media, on-camera presenting, and, when I had time (not a lot!), hanging out with the horses and donkeys and goats and cats and dogs 🐕

2 months hostel reception in Mexico

6 weeks looking after a natural herd of horses at a farm in France, assisting with the training of youngsters according to Natural Horsemanship principles

1 month with renowned equine ethologist Lucy Rees at her wild horses project in Extremadura, assisting at workshops (in Spanish) on natural horsemanship and supporting her Pottoka research project. https://www.lucyrees.uk/

2 months as a translator and content creator at an Ayahuasca centre in the Peruvian Amazon, helping the guests through their process. https://lalunadelamazonas.com/

3 months as at an Ayahuasca and San Pedro retreat centre in Ecuador, assisting & translating during ceremonies, leading yoga and workshops on personal growth, cooking, gardening and generally supporting the healing process of all participants. (gaiasagrada.com)

2 months in Costa Rica, helping the amazing Terri with her equine therapy retreat in the jungle. Terri teaches yoga with horses to help people heal from trauma. Her methods are gentle and based on Natural Horsemanship. I exercised her five horses and worked as a guide on trail rides. (kindredspiritscr.com)

3 2 months on a ranch in Mexico (I returned!). Organic gardening, riding, training horses, guiding trail rides, animal care, ranch repairs, painting, vineyard work, bottling, labelling, trail clearing, wall-building... everything! All communication with the ranchero in Spanish. (rancholaventa.com)

2 months as assistant in Mexico during a festival (Encuentro Nacional de Naciones Nativas de Aztlan) bringing together different traditions (including the Wixárika and Yoreme) through Temazcales, Peyote ceremonies, Kiva meetings, courses and dances. I travelled around Mexico inviting speakers, and supported during festivities primarily by cooking, maintaining the sacred fire, looking after children and translating for international guests.

15 years horse riding; schooled in English style but prefer American (natural) Horsemanship and am looking to learn more about this.

10 years as a professional writer

10 years teaching English to children and adults, including residential summer camps. I have qualifications and references.
