Hello, we are Fransisca and Maeve! We recently quit our jobs and are travelling through Central and South America, looking to be immersed in different communities and cultures. We are easygoing, self-sufficient, and enjoy connecting with hosts. In our free time we like to read, practice art, and cook delicious meals.

We are new to Workaway, but have done two WWOOF experiences (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). We thoroughly enjoyed the unique opportunity to connect with farmers and learn about their agriculture practices. We are both passionate about local foods and looking to gain more skills to hopefully, one day, have a small farm of our own. We are generally up for anything, happy to learn a diverse set of skills to assist you.

Francisca is fluent in Spanish, and Maeve is conversational in Spanish.

At our previous WWOOF stays we worked on rebuilding/patching mud structures, groundskeeping, weeding, prepared food items, cooked, fed farm animals, collected eggs, and painted.

Francisca studied psychology at university and in the years since has worked helping community members access food benefits. She is passionate about equitable access to food and hopes to bring local foods to communities through a career in community gardening.

Maeve studied data science at university while working as a barista. Since then, she has been working doing machine learning with satellite data, and is passionate about mapping!

We are interested in learning all types of new skills!
