Hey!

I'm Frederik, a 25-year-old living in Denmark. I recently completed my bachelor's degree in Design of Sustainable Energy Systems. Currently, I reside in Copenhagen, working as a student assistant in a small company. My academic background has equipped me with knowledge and experience in planning energy systems and in data science/programming.

While I have hands-on experience in various fields, including physical labor in warehouses, substitute teaching, and gardening, I'm eager to gain practical insight into the physical implementation of sustainable energy systems through Workaway.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and friends. I'm a social person who loves activities like cooking, playing music (I play the guitar), watching movies, playing board games, watching football and camping in the wild. Additionally, I value alone time to read books, go on walks, and listen to music/podcasts. I'm deeply passionate about sustainable living, both for the planet and my personal well-being. My interests extend to politics, economics, skiing, snowboarding (learning), and a goal to master kitesurfing by 2024.

Being half German and half Danish, I'm fluent in both languages, along with English. I have extensive travel experience, including 4 months in South America, interrail trips, exchanges in Vienna, Austria, and Trondheim, Norway, as well as a month of Workaway in Poland.

As a person, I am open-minded with a calm mind and polite. I consider myself a helpful team player who values open communication to address and solve any challenges collaboratively.

For my Workaway stay, I'm seeking a genuine and friendly environment where I can contribute collaboratively and learn extensively. My ultimate dream with my girlfriend is to purchase a piece of land and live as sustainably and self-sufficiently as possible. This involves producing our own food, electricity, heat, clothes, housing, medicine, and more. Why I am very eager to learn various crafts and gather knowledge to realize this dream.
