Description
Hi! We are Florence and Josh, two Australians who left Australia in August 2023 and have since been living in the United Kingdom. We are planning some travel around Europe from September to December 2025 prior to moving back home and are very excited to help out at a few workaways in this time.
In Australia we were living in the beautiful town of Cairns, Queensland. Florence (27) is a marine biologist and was working on tourist boats going to the Great Barrier Reef and Josh (29) is a civil engineer who was working on the construction of a large scale highway duplication.
We are both open minded and easy going individuals and enjoy spending time with friends, enjoying the outdoors, and enjoying great food and the odd glass of wine.
We both love small projects such as gardening, woodworking, sewing, drawing, painting, and the creation of all types of things. We always try to keep our minds active and enjoy helping other people.
We are looking forward to experiencing different cultures and traditions around the world as we explore the many countries in Europe.
We have currently completed three Workaway experiences which we have thoroughly enjoyed.
- The first was in Italy where we undertook many different tasks such as tiling, plastering, woodworking, with the final goal being to fully renovate a house and yard.
- The second was in Morocco where we volunteered at a language school helping to teach English to Moroccan students of ages 8 to 50.
- The third was in Somerset, England helping a couple in their house with gardening, house work, and looking after two dogs.
