Description
Hi! We are Florence and Josh, two Australians who left Australia in 2023 to live in the UK until late 2025 and now are doing some travelling around Europe until Christmas 2025. We have just finished a great Workaway in southern Greece and are hoping to find another suitable host in southern Italy from the second week of December 2025!
In Australia we were living in the beautiful town of Cairns, Queensland. Florence (27) is a marine biologist and was working on tourist boats going to the Great Barrier Reef and Josh (29) is a civil engineer who was working on the construction of a large scale highway duplication.
We are both easy going individuals and enjoy spending time with friends, enjoying the outdoors, and enjoying great food and the odd glass of wine.
We both love small projects such as gardening, woodworking, sewing, drawing, painting, and the creation of all types of things. We always try to keep our minds active and enjoy helping other people.
We are looking forward to experiencing different cultures and traditions around the world as we explore the many countries in Europe.
We have currently completed four Workaway experiences which we have thoroughly enjoyed!
- In Italy where we undertook many different tasks such as tiling, plastering, woodworking, with the final goal being to fully renovate a house and yard.
- In Morocco where we volunteered at a language school helping to teach English to Moroccan students of ages 8 to 50.
- In Somerset, England helping a couple in their house with gardening, house work, and looking after two dogs.
- In Crete, Greece doing mainly landscaping, garden work, outdoor painting, and dog minding 8 dogs.
