Hi ! We are looking for a positive and active cultural exchange to enhance our travels around New Zealand. We are motivated by all the opportunities that workaways provide - and really look forward to authentic international experiences, being able to meet new people and share skills with one another. We both love the outdoors and are physically fit, active individuals - so we are not afraid of more demanding outside work! Back home in Cornwall (UK) we usually we live in a van, so we are pretty low maintenance and comfortable with outdoor, off-grid living. At some point we'd love to have our own small scale permaculture set-up, so we are particularly interested in gaining experience in this area. We would be happy anywhere that has good trails to run/hike and nice natural landscapes to explore in our free time!

We have a variety of creative interests too:) Finn is musical and plays the guitar and piano, has studied photography (with a particular interest in film and darkroom developing) and loves to read. Somer studies Sportswear Design, specialising in sustainable textiles and zero waste pattern cutting, as well as traditional crafts like knitting/crotchet.

We are a pretty active couple that are happy to do physical jobs. As mentioned previously, we are pretty keen to get experience maintaining land, growing/planting, taking care of animals, and DIY home projects. We both work as beach lifeguards in the UK, so we are used to being outside a lot and also have first aid experience. We've both also worked in hospitality, so we are clean, tidy and responsible (and can make a great coffee!!). Somer has previously worked as an Au Pair in Australia, so is happy taking care of kids and helping around the house/cooking family meals. Finn has labouring experience and is super practical-minded, so would be a great help on any DIY projects.
