  • Description

Hi! I'm Filippo – an Italian soul with a global heart.
I've lived in the UK, California, and now Australia, and if there's one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that connection — with people, nature, and creativity — is everything.

My biggest passion is traveling and teaching what I love, especially to kids. I’m a full-on adventurer at heart: a climber, gymnast, parkourer, and even trained stuntman. I’ve also taught these disciplines for years, helping others push their limits while having fun. Movement is my language, and I believe play is a powerful way to grow.

But there’s more to me than adrenaline! I’ve also got a softer, artistic side. Since high school, I’ve studied arts and crafts — from drawing and painting to modeling clay. I sometimes even use my art to create custom tattoos during focused periods. Creativity is my way of expressing love for the world around me.

I’ve been vegan for over 11 years, and cooking is another big passion of mine. I love reimagining classic Italian recipes into delicious plant-based dishes (even if not all my fellow Italians approve, haha). Sharing meals and stories is one of the best parts of traveling.

Nature grounds me — whether I'm climbing a mountain, soaking in the sun, or just breathing fresh air under a tree. It’s where I recharge and find inspiration.

I'm joining Workaway to connect with passionate people, exchange knowledge, and immerse myself in cultures and projects that matter. I believe everyone has something to teach, and I’m always eager to learn, contribute, and grow alongside others.

Let’s build something beautiful together — with hands, heart, and a little bit of adventure 🌍💪🎨

    🧑‍🏫 Teaching & Coaching
Teaching is in my blood — my mother is a wonderful teacher, and I’ve followed in her footsteps through years of experience as a coach and instructor in gymnastics, climbing, and parkour. I’ve taught both kids and adults, always bringing energy, patience, and a deep understanding of movement. I love watching others grow and helping them discover what they’re capable of.

    🌍 Adaptability & Cultural Experience
Having lived in Italy, the UK, California, and now Australia, I’ve learned to adapt quickly to new environments and cultures. Each place — and especially the children I’ve worked with — has taught me something new. I’m flexible, open-minded, and always excited to dive into unfamiliar experiences with curiosity and respect.

    👨‍👦‍👦 Childcare & Organization
I spent nearly two years as an au pair, caring for three young boys full-time. This included not just supervising and organizing daily life, but also creating a fun, supportive, and educational space for them to grow. It taught me responsibility, multitasking, and how to build strong, trusting bonds with children.

    💼 Quick Learning & Multitasking
While traveling, I’ve worked many different jobs to support myself — from hospitality to physical labor to creative gigs. This gave me a sharp ability to learn quickly, think on my feet, and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently and calmly.

    💪 Physical Strength & Endurance
My background in sports, parkour, and stunt work has built a strong, capable body. I’m no stranger to hard work and can handle physically demanding tasks with endurance and care — whether it's helping on a farm, building, moving heavy things, or long outdoor days.

    🎨 Creativity, Arts & Patience
As an artist, I bring vision, attention to detail, and a lot of patience. I love drawing, painting, sculpting with clay, and even tattooing. I also enjoy using creativity to engage with kids, decorate spaces, or contribute to artistic projects wherever I go.

  • What else ...

Outside of sports and art, I’m really into films and books — especially stories with strong world-building and adventure. I’m a big fan of The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean, which probably makes sense considering how much I love exploring and discovering new places.

I enjoy playing chess and board games, especially in groups — it’s a fun way to connect with people and challenge myself in a different way.

Recently, I’ve also started getting into sailing. It’s something I’d love to learn more about, and I'm always open to gaining hands-on experience when I can.
