Hello, my name is Faye! I am 25 years old from New Zealand. For the past few years I have been studying and working in data science in my home town, but this year I am looking forward to the exciting opportunity to travel again!

I love meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. My favourite hobbies include yoga, surfing, swimming, pottery, camping and hiking. I consider myself to be a kind and considerate person who is quite laid back.

I am open to lots of new experiences. I would love to be involved in any workaways to do with wellness, creative pursuits, outdoor activities, eco-projects and animal welfare. Most of all, I'm looking forward to connecting with wonderful people.

I love to work with people and have great social skills. I am very capable with technology, including computers, social media and photography. I can cook and am more than happy to help with housework, garden work, or any general maintenance. I have worked in customer service at receptions and checkouts as well. I consider myself very creative with skills in pottery, knitting, jewellery making and writing. I also love outdoor activities like surfing, swimming, hiking and camping.

Workaways I have done in the past include looking after and teaching children English, working in a hostel and working on a permaculture eco-farm.

Faye helped us with our little kids always with a smile. She was on time, and took care of Martin always in a proper way. She is happy, cheerful, balanced and helpful person. We experienced her as a intelligent and social lady.

In september we received Faye to us out at the farm. She shared the guesthouse and team work with volunteer Chelsie. Faye was open for suggestions and clear in her communication. It was nice to notice how she is able to connect with interest and intelligence. Both got along well and had fun.

I stayed here in Faro for ten days and really enjoyed it! The hostel is of very high quality, it is a lovely space which is most often calm and quiet. I don’t even know where to start! Words can’t describe how much I loved staying with Laura and her family. I was in Valencia for two weeks and just left yesterday. They welcomed me so warmly and made me feel at home since day one. I felt like another member of the family so it was very hard to leave!
