Hello!
My name is Evie, I am 18 years old from Sunderland, a coastal city in the North-East of England.

I have studied French for over five years at school and have also just began learning Portuguese, I hope to study languages at university in the future after having a year out to travel and improve my linguistic skills.

My hobbies include dancing and playing the guitar, swimming in the cold Sunderland sea, cooking new dishes, watching movies and reading - I am always keen to learn more!

I have also had a job in a cafe/ tea room for two years, doing ten hour shifts which include preparing and serving food, making coffees and working on the till, I love interacting with customers and am always prepared to work hard!

I'm a friendly and adaptable person with a passion for learning and helping out wherever I can. I enjoy working with children and have experience from both primary school placements and teaching children's dance classes. I'm currently completing an online TEFL course to further develop my skills in teaching English.

In a previous Workaway, I gained hands-on experience with renovation work, including painting, tile fitting, and general maintenance. I also enjoy cooking and am confident preparing meals for groups.

My job in a busy tea room involved 10-hour shifts managing the till, preparing food and drinks (including coffees), and taking responsibility for closing duties like cleaning and restocking. I'm hardworking, reliable, and always happy to get stuck in with whatever’s needed!
