Hi! My name is Erin, I'm a university student from the US majoring in Environmental Science. I joined Workaway for the chance to open up a whole new world of experiences in order to grow, help others, and learn as much as I can.
As a volunteer, I want to go above and beyond in every aspect I can. love to learn new skills and challenge myself, and get a lot of satisfaction out of working hard on projects and seeing them succeed.
In my personal life, I'm passionate about sustainability and environmentalism, and spend as much time with nature as possible. I especially love rock climbing, cycling, swimming, hiking and running.
As a house guest, I keep a very clean space and help out wherever I can. I'm excited to connect and build relationships with you all, but have no problem being independent and self-sufficient.

I have an intermediate/advanced level of household-level gardening and yardwork skills including planting, harvesting, weeding, building beds, etc. I've worked in multiple community gardens and have a good understanding of their operations.
My home renovation skills consists of basics like sanding, painting, small scale construction (cabinets, furniture, wall frames), tiling and other DIYs. I am comfortable with power tools and happy to learn more as needed!
Cleaning and organizing a huge strength of mine! I really enjoy tidying and reorganizing spaces. I am also an adequate cook and baker and am happy to feed a crowd.
I'm very confident in manual labor skills requiring some muscle, lots of rock climbing has given me good upper body strength :)
I am also first aid and CPR certified.
