I've done 5 workaways in the past where I've learned a variety of different skills such as: basic carpentry, painting, outdoor plumbing, gardening, building irrigation, cooking, etc. I worked two summers at a professional landscaping company mowing lawns, edging, weed-picking, and planting flowers, bushes, and trees. My dad is a very talented woodworker and I have assisted with some of his projects (e.g. building a deck, building a shed, building a banister, remodeling a gutted house). Additionally, I enjoy cooking and brewing beer. I am also moderately fluent in Spanish.

I grew up with pets (dogs and cats), have been my friend's trusted dog sitter and walker for the past few years, and love animals.

In my free time, I spend tons of time outdoors: hiking, surfing, running, swimming, and playing frisbee. I also play a lot of cards, have brewed my own beer, practice yoga and meditation, and cook/bake. Additionally, I love music - listening at home, seeing live music, and attempting to play some instruments. I also have a background in playing a variety of sports (ultimate frisbee, soccer, basketball, tennis, cross-country) and still enjoy playing with friends whenever I get the chance.

Eric and Julie were a great pair! They worked hard in the garden and seemed to really enjoy the work. They made an amazing mushroom sauce to go with the zoodles that was spectacular. They were a very kind hearted couple and it was great having them stay for a bit.
